Updated 10/10/98 If this is your first visit to our site, then Welcome to Our Place in cyberspace. Since we're not able to visit with our out-of-town friends and family as often as we'd like to, we're hoping that this Website will help us stay in touch and up to date with everyone throughout the year. We update Our Place each month or so with Charlie's latest photos and other newsworthy family exploits. We hope you'll visit us often. Well, first and foremost, Henry Christopher has arrived! We welcomed our second child into the world at 1:04 am on Sunday, October 4, 1998. He weighed in at 7 lbs 2oz and was 20.5 inches long. He has fine blond hair and blue eyes. So far, he's been spending his time eating, sleeping and hardly ever crying. We are all thrilled with our new addition to the family. But of course, his arrival had plenty of drama. The night of his birth, Beth woke up at about 11:30 pm to go to the bathroom and began to hemorrhage seriously. We had to rush to the hospital, honking our way through red lights all the way. Once we reached the hospital, the doctors determined that the baby was unharmed, but that an immediate c-section delivery would be needed. Henry was born less than an hour later. So it seems like there's never a dull moment around here lately. Beth and Henry stayed in the hospital for a few days to recover from the surgery and finally were welcomed home on Wednesday, October 7th. Big brother Charlie has been spending lots of time with Grandma Marylou and Grandpa Larry since Henry was born. So far, Charlie seems unfazed by Henry's arrival, but we know that the real test will start when Grandma and Grandpa go home. Well, that's all the news for this month.
