Happy Holidays from Atlanta! It's hard to believe that we've been in
Georgia for three years already. But we only need look at how big
Charlie and Henry have gotten to realize how different things were only
a year ago.
Charlie turned three in October and has become Mom & Dad's little
helper in everything we do, including correcting his little brother.
It's clear that the sibling "relationship" between these two
is in full gear already. When he's not "playing" with his
brother, Charlie enjoys going to Little Gym, music classes and preschool
at one of the local churches. Just this week he performed with all his
classmates in the annual Christmas Pageant. Needless to say, it was very
cute. His latest obsessions include all things related to Toy Story,
Pokemon, Tarzan, Power Rangers and Star Wars. Although his interests
seem to change weekly.
Henry on the other hand is still a few steps behind. He turned one in
October and has become a handful in his own right since he began walking
a few months ago. His hobbies include climbing up and standing on all
available furniture, and sneaking up our wooden staircase when no one is
looking. So far there have been no major injuries, but in his first
month of walking he had quite a knack for breaking his falls with his
face. This resulted in him sporting the "Rocky" look for
awhile and nearly knocking the few teeth he has out of his head.
Fortunately, his balance has improved and his teeth remain intact.
Henry's interests include Mommy, Elmo, anything Charlie has and his
terry cloth Lambie rattle.
As you can imagine, Charlie and Henry keep Beth running at full
speed. But somehow she's found the time to pursue some new interests
this year. Ever the talented artist, Beth began making beautifully hand
painted toy and jewelry boxes as birthday gifts for friends. The
recipients liked them so much that Beth found herself taking orders for
more hand painted treasures. She's now got a thriving little enterprise
going on the side. If that wasn't enough, Beth and a friend took up
running this past summer. She's been a running machine ever since and
has covered distances of as much as ten miles at a time. She just
completed her first race today, a 5K run that she finished in 32
minutes. She's so far ahead of Chris in the fitness department, he may
never catch up!
After 7 years of sports
related work, Chris accepted a corporate strategy position with
Coca-Cola earlier this year. This led to a number of competitive
strategy projects in Argentina, Peru and Chile. After some serious soul
searching, Chris declined two different director level marketing
positions in the Latin America Group and has accepted an offer to join a
small marketing strategy consulting firm called Z Group. In addition to
gaining high level exposure to a variety of companies, this new
enterprise will allow us the flexibility to move back to the New York
area. We hope to have set up shop there by summer of 2000.
Well, that's all the news for now. We hope you have a wonderful
holiday and a happy and healthy New Year. Be sure to check out all
the new photos in Henry's
Photo Album and Charlie's
Photo Album while you're here.
