Updated 7/19/98 If this is your first visit to our site, then Welcome to Our Place in cyberspace. Since we're not able to visit with our out-of-town friends and family as often as we'd like to, we're hoping that this Website will help us stay in touch and up to date with everyone throughout the year. We update Our Place each month or so with Charlie's latest photos and other newsworthy family exploits. We hope you'll visit us often. Beth was the traveller in the family last month. She took a trip to Las Vegas in June for the wedding of our friends, Ewa and Darek, from Poland. Beth's cousin Bob Zevits met up with her in Las Vegas and she had a nice visit with him in his favorite town. If you know how Beth and Bob are when they get together, you can imagine the hijinks that occured during their trip. We understand they nearly got themselves stranded in Death Valley during a daytrip to the desert. Chris and Charlie stayed home and had a "boys only" weekend in Dunwoody. Their weekend without Mom included trips to the local pool and Charlie's first visit to the movie theater. They went to see the new Disney movie "Mulan". He was mesmerized for the first thirty minutes and even cheered wildly after the first musical number. But after a half hour, Charlie became much more interested in exploring the theater complex, which he did with Chris in pursuit. The boys weekend was fun, but they were very happy to see Beth at the airport upon her return Beth also had "5 minutes" of fame this month. She appeared in the July 20th edition of First For Women Magazine. She was included in a feature about financial know-how (somewhat ironically) . While she was happy to have been included, Beth had a number of bones to pick with the editor. Her comments included: "smallest photo on the page", "oh great, my caption has to refer to roaches!", "I've never used the word 'flat' in my life", and "they got my age wrong, too". Well, I guess you really can't trust the media these days afterall. Oh well. Well, that's all the news for this month.
